Lili Saint Germain and I have been misbehaving.
So, when we were in New York recently, we are asked a question at our Q & A session. The question asked was this:
“Will you two be collaborating on any projects together in the future, and if so what will it be about?”
And, unlike some of the other questions we were asked during that same Q & A, we actually have a very definitive answer to that one. It was a resounding HELL YES!!!! Both Lili and I have crazy schedules and so many books to get out this year, but we both knew as soon as we set foot in that city that we had to make time for a co-written book.
Ever since then, we’ve been sneaking in brainstorming sessions and going absolutely crazy with all our ideas…
This was my first trip to New York. I had no idea if I was even gonna like the place: huge crowds, angry people, weird characters on the subway… things weren’t looking good. But being there in winter, being immersed in the hustle and bustle and just rolling with the flow of people, being swept away in the madness that is New York City was incredible. I loved it. I definitely didn’t wanna leave.
Lili and I were meant to be focusing on our signing, but as we were walking around, trying to take everything in, all we were talking about was how cool it would be write a story centred around the city.
Soon there were mobsters, and henchmen getting killed. Two rival families at each other’s throats. Cars exploding. Drugs and guns. Mistaken identities by the bucket load. And of course some seriously, SERIOUSLY sexy characters. We’d practically written the whole thing in our heads before we returned home.
And thus, Hell’s Kitchen was born. We are so excited to share this book with you guys. We even have a release date: March 2. Make a note of the date 🙂 And don’t forget to add the book to your Goodreads TBR. Check it out here!!
We don’t want to give too much of the story away right now, but keep your eyes peeled. As we draw closer to release, we’ll be sharing some scandalously hot teasers as well as trailers and competitions.
Personally, this has been and continues to be such a wonderful collaborative experience. Working with Lili is an honour. She’s an extraordinarily talented writer, and a much loved friend. Getting to work with her on this project has been a hilarious, exciting and very rewarding way to start 2015. I hope you guys enjoy our work as much as we have enjoyed writing it.
We’ll have so much more for you guys as the year progresses as well. Leave me a comment below to let me know what you think about the first Hart Saint Germain production! And don’t forget to jump on over to Lili’s post to read her side of this story here,
So much love,
Coming soon! Pre-order links will be available shortly.
Roberto Barbieri is known in the Kitchen by many names: Bobby B. The Barber of Brooklyn. Il Assassino. My brother and I call him Father. No matter what name you call him by, when Roberto Barbieri tells you do something, you do it. No questions asked. And you do not fuck it up.
It all hangs in the balance.
And in this world?
Somebody always loses.
We are this excited!!!!!!!!
Almost as excited as when this picture was taken *ahem*
