This is the face of a girl with a secret. Yes, it’s about Raleigh High, and no, I can’t give a precise release date just yet, BUT it will be this month, and it WILL be worth it. I’m so sorry it’s taken a while to get this book out, guys. And I’m super sorry about the false start we had in December. I really did think I was ready to release, but the more time passed, the more unhappy I was with the second half of the book. I’ve essentially re-written the entire last 40% (about 50,000 words), and I’m sooooo fucking happy with it now, it’s ridiculous. I am going to be delivering the book you guys deserve, not the one I could get out on time and that sits much better with me. And yes! There’s a secret! I’ll be able to share more in week or so :D

I can't bear what's happening in Australia right now. In tears at my computer screen this morning, feeling utterly useless.

Please, if any of you know of charity organizations that are trying to help the wildlife, drop their information below. I've already donated directly to both the NSW and the QLD Rural Fire Services. I know, first and foremost, the best way to help the animals is to get the fires put out, but if anyone knows of any way to help the animals specifically, I'd love that information.

If you have ANY spare cash (I know, when is cash ever going spare???) then please, please, please, please donate to a worthwhile organization that is trying to help. Imagine if it was your beloved pet, trapped and walled in on all sides by fire, unable to get out, to get to you and to safety. These animals are terrified, and they're dying in their millions.
This is not okay, guys.
The very best thing we can all do for our planet is to stop denying that climate change is real. It blows my mind how many people will look at what's happening in the world and say that this is normal. It's NOT normal. We're killing our fucking planet. We have to DO something.
Admitting that this huge, huge problem is real is inconvenient. It's inconvenient because it takes work to fix. Our habits and our everyday routines need to change. I know It feels like an insurmountable, impossible task. Individually, it feels like our small efforts are pointless. Especially when the powers-that-be see fit to deny the most obvious, dangerous threat to our survival that has ever existed. But we CAN make a difference.
Our planet is in crisis. It needs our help. If we keep on telling ourselves it's someone else's problem for much longer, our legacy will be one of death, ash, and destruction, and the next generation won't be left to clean it up. There will be no cleaning it up. Survival in any way, shape or form will become unfeasible.

Commit to not buying single-use plastic. Carry a to-go cup in your purse. Keep reusable bags in your cars. Don't waste food. Look for sustainable products and resources. Walk that five-minute journey instead of driving it. Be mindful of where your clothes come

Getting a motorcycle license was on my list of goa

Getting a motorcycle license was on my list of goals for this year. Back in February, I got my head down for some serious work and by the time I took a second to look up, it I was November. Thankfully, I managed to fit in my safety course and test this month, though, and I can now legally ride a motorcycle!!! What kind of bike should I get???? I’m thinking an Indian Scout like Alex’s would be pretty nice...
